Income insurance protect your income
When you become a member of Finansförbundet you are automatically connected to the income insurance. The insurance offers protection if you become unemployed and is suitable for members whose earnings exceed the ceiling set by a-kassan, the Swedish unemployment insurance fund.
For salaries up to SEK 80,000 per month, our insurance offers 80 percent of your earnings for a period of 120 working days. We also offer additional insurance for salaries up to SEK 120,000, that offers compensation for up to 180 working days.
Who is covered by our income insurance?
- Have been a member of Finansförbundet for the last 12 months*
- Member of and are entitled to compensation from a-kassan, the Swedish unemployment fund.
- Not yet reached the age of 66
*If you have been a member of another trade union, the time spent in the previous union is credited if there is an unbroken time chain between memberships. That is, when there isn't a gap between the memberships. You must also, as previously, be a member of a Swedish unemployment fund.
Our income insurance follows decisions taken by a-kassan, the Swedish unemployment fund.
Time spent on parental leave is included in the qualification period.
